PARENT INVOLVEMENT

 

 

GPP strives to create a caring community of learners. Each and every child's success is largely dependent upon a collaborative relationship between the school and the child's family. Therefore, Parent/Family Involvement is strongly encouraged in our school. These are ways that we can work together:

 

1. We will strive to have mutual respect, cooperation, and shared responsibilities towards the achievement of shared goals for each child.

 

2. We will establish and maintain regular, frequent two-way communication with parents/guardians regarding the child's progress and development. Parents are important sources of information about their child, and are involved in making decisions on how to best support their child's growth and development.

 

In the case of families who do not speak English or Pilipino, we shall make every effort to help families understand the principles of developmentally appropriate practice, as well as collaborate with them on how to best support their child's development and progress at home.

 

3. There are many opportunities for family participation and enriching the learning experiences of all children in the program. When there is family involvement, the child is able to see and emulate role models, and quickly learns that he is an important part of a learning community.
